We've hit the press

Since Coffee and Catch Up started in 2020 we’ve had the privilege of welcoming lots of new faces, some regulars, some drop in and out, but one thing they all say: ‘it’s like being wrapped in a hug’. So, we’ve listened to your feedback and partnered with Independent Age to not only extend but also update the existing session and bring you a new, improved version. You can read more about our new partnership in our latest article by the Teesside Gazette.

Join us every Tuesday for your one-stop shop for advice and support, friendly faces, warm spaces, free hot drinks, board games, and more! The group has become an important part of reducing isolation for people of all ages and backgrounds, and we know how important it is to listen to the needs of our community, so we hope this will help more and more people.

Tracy Bushnall, Teesside Volunteer Coordinator for Independent Age said:

“The cost of living not only squeezes budgets but also makes life more stressful and gloomy. We want Community Hugs to be a little ray of sunshine in people’s lives, supporting them through the winter financially and giving them something to look forward to and enjoy.
