We're a STAR!

April was a month to celebrate as we were recognised as a Valued Service in the Community in this year’s Healthwatch Star Awards. We are so proud to be considered against lots of brilliant individuals, teams, volunteers and services within health and social care in the South Tees area. And to win was the cherry on top!

A huge thank you to everyone who nominated us, because these awards are only possible due to the submissions made by our fellow organisations and our fantastic community who felt we deserved the recognition. A panel from the Healthwatch Board members, then had the tough decision of picking the winners. 

It was great to receive our certificate from the Healthwatch Vice Chair, Ian Holtby and hear more about the work of Healthwatch South Tees over the last 12 months. We also heard from the Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust and the South Tees Wellbeing Network, who spoke about their work and how we have informed essential elements. Events like this are vital to helping us stay in tune with what our community need, outside of our centre, as well as seeing where opportunities to connect and develop our offer, might grow.

I feel so fortunate to be able to celebrate the great team we have at CVL, but really everything we do is for the people who walk through our front door. Without them we wouldn’t have the drive and passion to better ourselves and the support we offer.”
