This is a device that gives a high energy shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest and it is so vital because 'there are more than 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK each year and a defibrillator, reduces survival chances by up to 10%.

Thanks to the British Heart Foundation for sharing this information and for their free online training called RevivR. All you need to practise is a cushion, it takes 15 minutes and tells you how to save a life. Anyone can do it!
