Holiday fun

We’re all looking forward to welcoming you over the May half term holidays for more fun activities including arts, crafts, games, gardening and sports.

You can find a full list of activities running from Monday 29th May to Friday 2nd June here as well as the timetable for the next half term, running up to the summer holidays.

The holidays can be a great time for getting together as a family so why not try our Wednesday youth club. Kids and parents can come along to join in themed activities together, learn new skills and meet other families.

If you love doing creative stuff as a family or getting mucky in the garden, you can also try our Calm Crafts, Creative Time and Digging Deep sessions which are open to people of all ages, and provide the space and materials to get crafty in or outdoors. Calm Crafts is usually a dedicated quiet art session for adults only to work on individual or group projects, but during the holidays we open this space up so parents can still attend while the kids are on holiday. Plus, it’s a great way to get the kids doing stuff too.

If you just need something for the kids while you get some errands or work done, you can try our other youth activities across the week - Sheroes and Boys in Blue. Two youth sessions aimed at girls and boys separately to give them the safe space to explore and discuss new topics, with youth leaders. Adults do not need to accompany children in these sessions so they’re a great opportunity for children to have fun, while you get some much needed time.

For any adults who just want a bit of time to themselves and make friends - Young at Heart Club (YAHC) is right up your street. YAHC offers indoor and outdoor space to join in board games, arts and crafts, have a drink, great conversation or even a game of pool or foosball.

There’s also still time to enter our holiday Facebook competition which closes on Friday 26th May. The picnic season started early this year with the King’s coronation, so we’re giving away a food hamper to the lucky winner who tells us their favourite picnic snack. Some great comments have already come in, so make sure you comment, like and share the post to be in with a chance of winning.

We’re here all year round (except Bank Holidays) because we love to meet the people who make up our communities and hear your stories. We love the friends we make along the way and the ideas you bring to us. Keep coming along and we’ll make sure we keep providing you with activities and projects to learn, grow and do.
