Feeling Festive
We love getting together at Christmas and showcasing the great work our community can create and do to support each other. So this year we not only held our annual craft fair but we also held a fantastic Christmas workshop, where participants made items to sell at the fair the following week. The participants had a fantastic day at the workshop and the lovely Kim played her piano for everyone to enjoy, setting a peaceful environment for everyone to get creative.
On 9th December, we then held our Christmas Craft Fair in aid of Alzheimer's Society, with craft stalls, a nearly new stall, free mince pies and hot drinks, and we had a fantastic turn out! The brilliant Boys in Blue had a stall showcasing their latest crafty creations, which they loved making. Our friends from Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind also attended the fair to promote the fantastic work they do for people struggling with their mental health.
Of course, the items that were made in the Christmas workshop on 26th November went down a treat and we raised a fantastic £206.33 in aid of Alzeimer’s Society, in memory of George Felgate. A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise and run the event, along with everyone who attended or joined in the activities. Your support is really appreciated and makes such a difference to our charitable work.
