Congratulations Zoe!

Yesterday marked the last working day for our wonderful Zoe Widdowfield who runs our SenZory art sessions along with many other workshops, events and activities across CVL.

Zoe has worked with us since May 2019, beginning her CVL career by setting up the art group as a volunteer. Zoe made such an impact on us that six months later she took on a paid role running a variety of sessions and working with the core support team at CVL.

The art group is described by our service users as Zoe’s legacy, because she has had such a positive impact on so many people’s lives. Zoe set the group up as a way to support people to reduce isolation, make friends and feel inspired by the possibilities that being creative can offer, but it has helped her just as much as our service users. She says “CVL has helped me in my career and life, it will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Operations Director, Rachel Gault says “We are so proud of the difference Zoe has made over the last three years. She joined us as a volunteer and has become an inspiration, empowering people to be the best they can be and contribute to their community. We wish her the best of luck in her new adventure and look forward to hearing more about it.”

Zoe says “I’ve learnt so much during my time at CVL. The staff, service users and overall community are so lovely. It's been amazing to work with members of the community, and to see them strive in life. From day one, Rachel took me under her wing and supported and pushed me to achieve many things. I've loved working with all the team, I wish them all the best and know CVL will continue to grow.”

Check out the lovely send off we had yesterday.
