Christmas '24

It's officially the Christmas countdown and we're very excited at CVL!

For adults we have our YAHC Christmas Special on Wednesday 18th December from 11am to 2pm, where you can join us for a festive celebration including bingo, karaoke, drinks and nibbles.

For young people and their families we have our Christmas Fete on Wednesday 18th December from 3pm to 4:30pm, where you can join our youth groups for some music, drinks and nibbles, while they show off their work in aid of fundraising.

For families of children under 5, check out the Pavilion Nursery Open House on Tuesday 17th December from 2:30pm to 4pm, for your chance to look around, speak to staff and find out more about our childcare offer.

For those who are hungry, we have Christmas at the Community Cafe on Wednesday 18th December, where you can fill up on roasties, pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce and all your festive favourites at our Christmas dinner.

These are just the party dates, but we still have our regular activities run, which will all be festive themed. Some aimed at getting you out and about, some to get you moving, others to help you sit still and some to help you express yourself.

For those who are cold, we are open weekdays between 9am and 5pm (Mondays and Thursdays we’re open to 6:30pm at Ormesby Table Tennis Club) with free hot drinks and smiley faces. We are also collecting donations of warm clothing and shoes, and will share information about where you can access these, very soon! Our Community Cafe is also open Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12pm and 1pm.

We have created a programme of festive activities that spans the weeks leading to Christmas, instead of wearing you all our in one day. We hope this means that if you can’t make it all, you still still get to enjoy something. We are then closed from Friday 20th December 2024 and will reopen on Monday 6th January 2025, for some much needed rest and maintenance of both our staff and buildings.

We know the festive period can be a strange time for everyone with some good and some not so good feelings, so we want you to know that we’re here, we hear you and we will do our best to help you.
